Hooded man at the edge of town Eerie presence all around. Driving rains relentless pour, darkness wrapped the night once more. Windows shut and movement slow, no audience for his deathly show. Voices hushed and lighting dim. No welcome for one so grim. One shining beacon stood. Chimney smoke and a smell so good. He made his way as fate decreed. Heard a voice singing happily. The ballad of life and death, all started when she said “Come in out of the cold, just do as you’re told, have some nice hot food, Gotta get some life in you, come in out of the cold, just do as you’re told, have some nice hot food, Gotta get some life in you”
Warmed by fire and hunger sated, He’d never felt so contented. A thought occurred; “do you know who I am?” She laughed and said, “you are deaths man”. Confused at the lack of fear, He shrugged and slumped further in his chair. Aware of forces at play, she said “you know, you met life this day!”. He awoke with the dawn, one day turning into more, and so began the matrimony, life and death harmony. The ballad of life and death, all started when she said: “Come in out of the cold, just do as you’re told, Have some nice hot food, Gotta get some life in you” “Come in out of the cold, Just do as you’re told, Have some nice hot food, Gotta get some life in you”
